raw material of biochar production

Biochar production can be applied to biomass materials such as wood chips, sawdust, coconut husks, bamboo chips, rice husks, peanut shells, plant stalks, bark, branches and etc. The carbon-containing biomass materials, agricultural and forestry residues (the volume of 15mm or less granular) in the biochar kiln under high-temperature conditions for dry distillation, anaerobic carbonization, and high carbonization rate of the biochar kiln and series of biochar equipment.

Biochar production or biomass carbonization lines typically include a series of process steps and equipment to achieve the drying, carbonization and collection of biomass materials.

A typical biochar production line consists of the following process flow and biochar machines:

  1. Feed system: it is used to transport biomass materials to the biochar production line. The feeding system usually includes feeding conveyor belts, feeders, feeding ports and other equipment to ensure the continuous supply of raw materials.
  2. Drying system: it is used to pretreat biomass materials and remove water to improve carbonization efficiency. Common drying methods include direct drying and indirect drying, and heating media such as hot blast stove and steam can be used.
  3. Biochar kiln: It is the core equipment for biomass carbonization treatment. The main body of the biochar kiln is usually heated indirectly to avoid direct contact of the biomass with the open flame. The inside of the biochar kiln will provide an anoxic or low oxygen environment, and the biomass will be pyrolyzed, retorted and oxidized at high temperature to generate carbonaceous products.
  4. Gas delivery system: it is used to deal with the flue gas and harmful gases produced in the biochar kiln. The gas delivery system usually includes equipment such as flue, dust removal device, waste gas treatment system, etc., to achieve environmental protection requirements and recover utilizable energy.
  5. Control system: it is used to control and monitor the operating status and parameters of the biochar production line. The control system can monitor key parameters such as temperature and pressure, and automatically control and adjust according to set conditions.
  6. Product collection system: it is used to collect the carbon products produced during the biochar production process. Product collection systems usually include coolers, dust collectors, collectors and other equipment for cooling, separation and collection of products.
  7. Cooling and packaging: biochar need to be cooled and packaged and stored for subsequent sale or use.
