The gyratory crusher, also called primary gyratory crusher, it is mainly used for coarse crushing of various hard materials in the primary stage, crushing various ores by squeezing, splitting, and bending the materials. It can be used to crush materials such as granite, basalt, diabase, limestone, marble, iron ore, manganese ore, gold ore, copper ore, etc., and is widely used in metallurgy, construction materials, chemical industry, mining, and other sectors.
Application of gyratory crusher
The gyrotary crusher is mainly used for secondary and tertiary crushing of hard minerals and rocks in industrial sectors such as metallurgy, mining, chemical industry, cement, construction, refractory materials, ceramics, and others. It is designed for materials with a compressive strength not exceeding 200 MPa, with a feed particle size ranging from 450 to 1000 mm, and an average discharge particle size of ≤5-8 mm.

Advantages of gyratory crusher
Deep crushing chamber, high output.
The gyrotary crusher has a deep crushing chamber, high production capacity, large processing volume, low power consumption, and when compared to jaw crushers, which are also coarse crushing equipment, its production capacity is more than twice as high.
Easy to start, no need for tools
The gyrotary crusher is easy to start and does not require auxiliary tools such as a flywheel. Modern, advanced large rotary crushers can even start with a full load.
High initial investment, high profits in the long term
The initial investment for a rotary crusher is relatively expensive due to its high production capacity. However, in the long-term perspective, it offers overall benefits and higher profitability compared to other coarse crushing equipment.
High automation
An automatic control system not only controls and monitors various aspects of the crushing process, automatically diagnoses operational faults, records production information and crusher performance but also simplifies operations, reduces maintenance costs, increases startup and running times, ensuring stable and high production for the crusher.

Price of gyratory crusher
The rotary crusher has a relatively high production capacity, and its price starts at 500,000 or can go up to millions or even tens of millions depending on your specific requirements. The cost can vary significantly based on different manufacturers and specifications. Compared to jaw crushers, the rotary crusher often provides greater long-term benefits.
Selection of gyratory crusher
The gyrotary crusher is suitable for use in large production factories and mining sites. Based on experience, when selecting crushing equipment, if one jaw crusher can meet the production requirements, then a jaw crusher should be used. However, if two jaw crushers are needed, it’s advisable to consider using a gyrotary crusher instead.
Gyratory crusher working principle

When the gyratory crusher is in operation, the electric motor drives the eccentric sleeve to rotate through the pulley and bevel gear. As the eccentric sleeve rotates, it drives the crushing cone to perform a pendulum motion around the crusher. The ore located in the crushing chamber close to the movable cone is crushed due to the squeezing and bending forces. After crushing, the ore is discharged under the influence of its own gravity.
