crusher spring

A crusher spring (also known as a coil spring) is a spiral spring that is designed to withstand compressive forces from a cement crusher. The materials used for crusher springs are usually circular in cross-section, although rectangular and multi-strand steel wire coils are also used. The springs are typically made with a uniform pitch. Compression springs come in various shapes, including cylindrical, conical, convex, concave, and occasionally non-circular shapes. There is a certain gap between each coil of the crusher spring. When subjected to external loads, the spring undergoes deformation by compressing and storing potential energy. Except for the cement industry, crusher springs are widely used in various fields, including medical respiratory equipment, medical mobility devices, hand tools, home care equipment, shock absorption, valves, engine valves, vibration screens, coal mines, mining machinery, textile machinery, and others.

notes for customization

Please note that the specific parameters and technical requirements may vary depending on the intended application and design specifications of the spring.

Necessary parameters for spring:

  1. Wire diameter (diameter of the spring wire)
  2. Outer diameter (diameter of the outer circle of the spring)
  3. Length (total length of the spring, including the hooks)
  4. Number of turns (effective number of coils in the spring)

Technical requirements for spring:

  1. Helical direction (left-hand or right-hand)
  2. Material (the material used for the spring)
  3. Surface treatment (black oxide, galvanized, electrophoresis, painted)
  4. Force requirements (elasticity and strength of the spring)
  5. End configuration (closed and ground ends, closed ends, or ground ends)

how does crusher spring work?

When materials are being processed inside a spring cone crusher, if they encounter non-crushable objects, the crushing force will increase. At the same time, the thrust plate of the spring cone crusher exerts pressure on the working hydraulic cylinder that is greater than the thrust provided by the hydraulic cylinder. This sudden increase in oil pressure in the working hydraulic cylinder can cause oil leakage in the system, thus protecting the spring cone crusher.

The function of the springs in the cone crusher is to ensure that the equipment is protected from damage when non-crushable materials enter. Therefore, the pressure of the springs should be appropriate for the crushing force of the cone crusher. The springs in the crusher remain stationary during normal operation, and they only compress when non-crushable materials enter the crushing chamber and cause the equipment to overload.

The locking springs in the spring cone crusher serve as a device that generates the normal crushing force and also act as a safety mechanism to protect the equipment from damage when encountering non-crushable materials. Therefore, the tightness and compressed height of the springs should be adjusted within the range specified in the instruction manual, and the tightness of each set of springs should be adjusted to a consistent level.
